Geo marking is also being extended to government land riverbeds coastal zones open spaces and other environmentally or administratively sensitive areas. Once mapped these locations can be monitored digitally making changes in land use or encroachments more visible and traceable over time. In urban centres geo marked data is being integrated into planning frameworks to support zoning regulation infrastructure development and housing projects. Accurate spatial information enables better assessment of road alignments utility corridors public spaces and environmental constraints prior to project approval. In rural and agricultural regions geo marking helps clearly distinguish between cultivable land irrigation networks grazing areas and state owned land. This supports improved agricultural planning water management and the protection of communal and public land resources. Officials note that geo marking does not alter legal ownership on its own. Ownership rights remain governed by existing land laws revenue records and judicial decisions. The system functions as a technical layer designed to improve accuracy monitoring and coordination across land related functions. Overall the geo marking initiative reflects a shift toward structured map based land management in Sindh. If maintained and regularly updated it has the potential to strengthen land administration support planned development and reduce long standing conflicts related to land use and boundaries.

The victim was working as a tenant farmer on agricultural land, and the dispute is said to have arisen after he built a temporary hut on the site. Following the incident, protests broke out in the area, with demonstrators blocking roads and calling for the immediate arrest of the accused and the delivery of justice. Police said the case falls under the category of murder and that investigations are ongoing. The killing has once again highlighted concerns over the feudal land system in rural Sindh, the rights and security of tenant farmers, and the vulnerability of minority communities.

The Anti-Encroachment Branch of the Sukkur Municipal Corporation (SMC), under the supervision of Municipal Commissioner Pir Wahid Bakhsh, continued its city-wide campaign against illegal encroachments on Friday. During the operation, officials removed an unauthorised Lunda Bazaar (flea market) that had been set up on government land within the Municipal Jinnah Stadium premises. The removal involved dismantling all stalls, carts, and structures located on the site. Encroachers present during the operation were warned against future violations of the law. The operation was led by Director of Anti-Encroachment Bilawal Korai, with support from inspectors Adnan Memon, Sohail Altaf Sheikh, Zaheer Memon, and Kamran Memon. The site was cleared efficiently and that public access to the stadium remained unobstructed. Municipal Commissioner Pir Wahid Bakhsh told reporters that public facilities like Jinnah Stadium are intended for recreational activities and that any illegal occupation of such spaces violates both the law and public interest. He emphasized that the administration is committed to protecting government land, maintaining city aesthetics, ensuring public convenience, and facilitating smooth traffic flow. The Sukkur Municipal Corporation stated that similar enforcement operations will continue across the city to remove illegal encroachments and preserve public property. Citizens were urged to cooperate with authorities and adhere to legal regulations to help maintain an organised and orderly urban environment. The campaign is part of the SMC’s broader effort to enforce land-use regulations, protect government property, and promote structured urban development in Sukkur.
