The Suthra Punjab Authority carried out a large scale special cleanliness operation in Wagah Town, maintaining extensive activity across urban and suburban areas. Acting on the directives of DG Suthra Punjab Authority, Babar Sahib Din, the operation involved 321 operational vehicles and more than 1,464 sanitation workers, who undertook effective measures to improve cleanliness standards in various localities.
According to the authority, over 100 loader rickshaws have been deployed in rural union councils, ensuring both sanitation and door-to-door waste collection. Cleaning teams successfully cleared 22 identified hotspots and vacant plots, including areas such as Shadipura, Mominpura, Gul Bahar Town, Dera Gujran, and Hindu Gujran.
Furthermore, container clearance and manual sweeping operations were ensured on key roads and localities, including Sultan Mahmood Road, Dilshad Street, Karim Bazaar, Mahmood Booti, GT Road, Bund Road, and Bassi Mor. Officials stated that waste clearance through heavy machinery is ongoing in Manawan, Jallo Mor, Faisal Bazaar, Gharki Road, Khairan Pul, Dhaiyal Village, and Wagah Village to further strengthen the sanitation system on a sustainable basis.

Construction work on the Nila Gumbad remodelling and underground parking project is progressing at a steady pace, with officials stating that 80 percent of the grey structure has been completed, while overall progress has reached 60 percent.
Punjab Secretary for Housing Noor ul Amin Mengal visited the Nila Gumbad project site and reviewed the ongoing construction work in detail. During the visit, DG Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Tahir Farooq and Chief Engineer TEPA Iqrar Hussain briefed him on the project’s progress.
Officials said the piling phase has been completed, while construction of the underground structure has now entered its final stages. The project is being executed in accordance with prescribed standards and safety protocols.
During the visit, the Secretary Housing issued strict instructions that no negligence or lapse in safety arrangements at the construction site will be tolerated. He emphasized that all necessary measures must be ensured for the safety and protection of workers and staff.
He added that once completed, the project will help resolve the long-standing parking issues in the busy commercial area of Nila Gumbad, easing traffic congestion and improving facilities for citizens.
Officials further noted that the project aims to preserve the historical character of the area while introducing modern urban infrastructure, making this key commercial hub more organized and accessible.

A special consultative meeting was held to review infrastructure improvement and development plans for educational institutions across District Kasur, with a focus on reducing disparities between rural and urban schools. Discussions centered on school renovation, budget allocation, and development priorities aimed at ensuring balanced educational growth throughout the district.
During the meeting, key aspects of the School Administration Plan and School Improvement Plan were reviewed, under which a phased strategy has been developed to upgrade infrastructure in schools located in both urban and rural areas.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to improve basic facilities, strengthen school buildings, and provide students across all regions with a more supportive and quality learning environment.
The administration emphasized that equal access to educational resources remains essential for long-term district development and public welfare. Citizens have welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that it will help bridge the infrastructure gap between rural and urban educational institutions.
