Lahore Deputy Commissioner Captain Muhammad Ali Ijaz (R) has directed the immediate integration of the Green Property Certificate initiative with the central PLUS system in a move aimed at strengthening the accuracy of digital land records, improving transparency and streamlining property transfer and registration processes across the city.
the PLUS system refers to The integrated digital architecture used by the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) to streamline property transfers and registrations.
The directive was issued during his visit to the Shalimar and Wagah Land Record Centres, where he reviewed the progress of Lahore’s ongoing urban land digitalisation programme. He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Hafiz Karim Dad Chughtai, the Chief Officer of the Municipal Corporation of Lahore and the relevant assistant commissioners.
During the inspection, the deputy commissioner reviewed public service counters, data entry procedures and the issuance process for Green Property Certificates. He instructed officials to ensure complete accuracy in digital land records and certificate issuance, stressing that reliable records are essential for an efficient and transparent property management system.
Captain Muhammad Ali Ijaz also directed technical teams to complete the integration of the Green Property Certificate database with the PLUS system without delay. He said the integration would eliminate technical obstacles that often slow down property transfers and registrations while creating a more seamless and efficient digital workflow.
The deputy commissioner noted that the initiative forms part of broader efforts to modernise Lahore’s urban land administration by providing citizens with faster access to verified and authentic property records. He added that a fully integrated digital system would improve public confidence, reduce processing delays and enhance the overall efficiency of land-related services.
He further instructed officials at land record centres to provide complete technical assistance and guidance to visitors so that citizens can complete their transactions smoothly without making unnecessary repeat visits. The administration also reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery through digital reforms and transparent governance in the land management sector.

The Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning Wing sealed 147 properties during a major operation against illegal commercial activity in LDA controlled areas.
According to an LDA spokesperson, the operations were carried out on GT Road and in Gujjarpura, Shadman, Faisal Town and Sabzazar on the directions of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq.
A total of 89 properties were sealed on GT Road and in Gujjarpura and Shadman for unauthorised commercial use. During a separate recovery operation, LDA teams also sealed 25 properties in Faisal Town and 33 in Sabzazar.
The sealed premises included private schools, clinics, pharmacies, grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, food outlets, electrical stores, bakeries, beauty salons, auto workshops, offices and other commercial establishments.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner-I Asaduz Zaman.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq said indiscriminate action against illegal commercial buildings and properties with unpaid commercial fees would continue.

The Punjab Public Private Partnership Authority has invited private companies and investors to submit proposals for development projects.
Investors, developers, operators and business groups have been asked to propose projects in housing, urban development, transport, tourism and other sectors.
The projects will be developed under the public private partnership model. Under this system, the government and private sector work together to finance and complete development projects.
Private companies will be able to identify new projects and submit detailed proposals to the authority.
The proposals are expected to include details about the project location, estimated cost, investment plan, construction period and benefits for the public.
The initiative aims to attract private investment, launch new housing projects, improve urban facilities and speed up development work across Punjab.
The authority will review the proposals under the relevant rules and take further action on projects found to be practical and beneficial.
