Following the recommendation of Deputy Commissioner Tanveer Khattak, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tribal Affairs Department has issued a notification imposing a curfew in Sub-Division Jandola of Tank District until 7 PM.
According to the notification, from 6 AM to 7 PM, all routes from Kot Fort to Jandola and Upper Waziristan will remain closed, and all movement will be suspended. During this period, all markets, shops, and business centers will also remain shut.
The Deputy Commissioner has advised residents to remain indoors and strictly follow government instructions during the curfew to ensure public safety.

A high level meeting was held at the Punjab Housing Department to review the progress of ongoing projects of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA). The meeting was chaired by Secretary Housing Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, who directed officials to further expedite work on the 46 kilometer long river training project.
During the briefing, CEO RUDA Imran Amin provided a detailed update on development activities. He informed participants that work on the embankment from Siphon to Jhok Forest is underway and will be completed in three phases. He added that the M2 embankment is expected to be completed by mid year. Imran Amin further stated that work at the Mahmood Booti dumping site is nearing completion, while development of various residential and commercial areas is progressing at pace.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Housing Noor ul Amin Mengal directed that all administrative, legal, and construction related hurdles be resolved on a priority basis. He emphasized the importance of promoting environmental sustainability through green infrastructure initiatives in Ravi City.
He also stressed the need to expedite settlement in adjoining areas of Ravi City and ensure timely implementation of the project’s green core and environmental measures. The Secretary Housing stated that RUDA would emerge as a state of the art residential, commercial and industrial hub, offering modern urban facilities in line with the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab.

With the arrival of the spring season, the district administration of Kasur has launched a cultural beautification initiative featuring traditional truck art on prominent public walls across the city. The effort aims to enhance the urban visual environment while highlighting Pakistan’s rich artistic heritage.
The initiative has been implemented under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asif Raza, with the objective of improving the aesthetic appeal of public spaces and creating a more vibrant and welcoming urban atmosphere. Traditional truck art, widely recognized as a distinctive element of Pakistan’s cultural identity, is being used to transform key urban locations into visually engaging landmarks.
According to the district administration, the project is intended to strengthen cultural expression, promote civic pride, and contribute to a more organized and visually appealing urban landscape. Such initiatives are considered important in reinforcing local identity and enhancing the overall quality and character of public spaces.
Officials noted that similar beautification measures will continue as part of broader efforts to modernize urban infrastructure, support cultural preservation, and position Kasur as a culturally vibrant and well-managed urban center.
