Deputy Commissioner Kasur Muhammad Asif Raza chaired an important review meeting to assess ongoing land development, beautification, and public infrastructure projects across the district under the Punjab government’s urban improvement initiatives.
The meeting focused on effective utilization of public land, improvement of civic spaces, and monitoring of development works being carried out in different areas of the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Syed Ayub Bukhari and representatives from relevant departments attended the session.
During the review, authorities discussed projects related to public parks, road corridors, green belts, plantation zones, drainage infrastructure, and land designated for civic development in areas including Munir Shaheed Colony, Chunian, and Mustafa Abad.
Special attention was given to upgrading urban land spaces through park rehabilitation, road improvement, beautification measures, and better infrastructure planning to enhance public accessibility and environmental standards.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed departments to ensure that all drainage channels, nullahs, and public spaces are cleared and maintained before the monsoon season to minimize risks of water accumulation and urban flooding.
Officials were instructed to ensure transparency in land-related projects, maintain quality standards, and complete all schemes within the approved timelines. Public complaints regarding civic works and land management issues were also ordered to be addressed on priority basis.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asif Raza stated that public land and development resources must be utilized efficiently and in accordance with approved planning standards to benefit citizens. He warned that negligence, misuse of land, or delays in execution will not be tolerated.
The administration reiterated its commitment to improving public infrastructure, organized land use, and cleaner urban spaces across district Kasur.
